My Chasm 06:24
Quiet – I’ll embrace All the dread Cuz it brings me to you Now go Just go I am going On right through And it rips me, rose bud Now cut Me with this Clarity And peel back the Layers Brick by brick Find something To caress me Take it easy Still, oh I bleed Evernight And at every.. Pour over Flowing Like a prayer And now I can see See his face So clear now It is stretched outside Covered in August lace Mouthing kisses Sent way up from The underside Where no one’s keeping score
2.
The shape it makes Coiling up around my spine Nestling the nape And licking the lips of soft pink light I’m trying hard To keep it down I smother it with wild flowers A rosary of lilacs It’s sheathed around its frame If you’re scared, it’s OK Just remember What the heart can’t rest The hole won’t swallow And with it every ache Will dissipate by early morrow

17 04:50
You were open-veined; peeled Busted up at the seams When i let you go, you were 17 Back then, you moved the streets Like an unsheathed queen But then they came back for you With arms and speed; Ripped you out from under me Though i didn’t mean to, I couldn’t stick around to Help you out I know i’ve let you down I remember we were young And having all kinds of fun We were tired, but strong Til they corrupted the blood of our song But when - would it ever - be enough? And then it came, that rotten ring Boomerang through my brain That’s when it changed And your voice cut through me twice Like a jagged knife Gave me that awful gash And all my dreams – what could i do Cuz i’d rather die than lose and Hang the noose But i had to draw the drapes; Be on the move Find my way back to you – When all i ever wanted was to Spare you from that pain All i ever needed was to heal your wounds and say It’s done, now go – You’re free

Without You 01:22
We only wanted you To be free and stay warm But neither of those things Came easy for you And me But now we stand Alone and free Without the pain Without the hate And all that's left now Is to turn and Walk away
5.
Wandering 03:55
Warmth unbending Around you I’m kneeling At our water’s edge Where the rest of me floats And these wounds They just won’t They just won’t They ain’t gonna heal They won’t heal for you And there’s No meaning No need Hold it tightly Sew your skin Into mine Fold into me
6.
Look right here, I’m here for you! Dancing in the brush Calling out to you! I’ll be open for you But only as far as I can see Palpable waves of anger Rushing over me Look at me! I’m here for you Reaching out to you from under the brush And just like that, a flash in the pan To you I’m a cosmic ray Disbanding in the dark Just go You’re no good for me anymore
7.
Bind 00:56
I picked up the phone I spoke to you But you didn’t tell me What was on your mind The words never came They couldn’t slip right off Your tongue But why wasn’t I wiser To know that something was wrong

In the Mire 01:33
10.
My body Lying next to yours Here, we are subservient To our vessel’s counterparts Like intertwined spines Spiraling, spiraling toward the light As we mount her horizon, feverishly And in a hot, hot sweat I cock back my head in splendor Here, we don’t need chaperones I am my mother’s tongue Nestled in the womb of night
11.
Poor Son 02:01
Poor son, wait Wipe that smug look off your face We all know by now You’ve had it hard but so have we No apologies, not one Even after all these years But I am done with it Every single lick Being held down by this shit How long til they say You’re free Break into the fold Til we find you home
12.
Black Pearl 09:57
13.
Unbody 03:45
Return to the fold And I’ll nix the excess I’ll burrow inside of you Deep in the root Bury it Let them splinter Into nothing Tucked inside this Unbody (Don’t share our secrets We worked so hard to keep them) I’ll keep you warm I’ll unbreak these chains
14.
Brandon 03:56
Brandon, I know It’s been a long time Since the last time That I wrote Honestly, if you ask me I couldn’t see What good it’d do Oh, but brother, I know Just how much you Loved those cologne ads So I’m saving all my Rolling Stones for you And remember when you asked me Could you find me a girl penpal She’ll write you letters Sing you that song You knew all along Cuz I would if it could Keep you from harm And tearing apart
15.
His Eyes 01:00
Heap not on this mound White roses that he loved so well But why bewilder him with them That he cannot see or smell He is happy where he lies With the dust upon his eyes

about

A challenging, abstract body of work that at one moment lulls the listener into sweet repose with its earnest balladry, awash with discordant sounds and a touch of absurdity, only to be jolted the very next into a blackened void of ambient electronic textures and deft lyricism.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Everything has a shape, whether on this side or just beyond the frame. It can be of sound, color, movement or it can take on physical properties. It leaves a mark. Stains our palette. Changes us completely. This record is about acknowledging the shapes of depression, spirituality, family, regret and trauma. How they manifest themselves and becoming cognizant of their grasp. Their power. And understanding our limitations.
